Paua Abalone shell is harvested and cleaned and the most beautiful part of the shell is much sought for use in jewellery and other applications that call for a stunning iridescent material. The Paua is cut into thin strips, then ever so delicately each strip is meticulously hand applied on to the pen tube. It is then cast in clear polyester resin to enhance and protect its beauty.

The pen barrel is not only beautiful but also has one of a kind unique colours and patterns.
I purchase these raw blanks, turn to final pen size and polish for the beautiful stunning final product.
